BONES studio presents BONEN NO XAMDOU

When you watch an anime, you're supposed to feel something. Oftentimes, you feel like you're being slapped by brown cardboard. True quality is something that rarely comes out of the anime market, that is so packed and overflowing with utter shit. Now don't get me wrong, utter shit can be very entertaining, but the real good ones are the ones the leave this feeling of awe in your chest. It's something that BONES is good at.

BONES ANIMATION STUDIO
I haven't been watching anime nearly long enough to tell you all of the successes and titles that have come from them, but know that every single one that I have seen has been a massive success. The first thing you'll notice about BONES is that their animation quality is explicitly superior to its peers. The second thing you'll notice is that you'll find yourself recommending titles to your friends after watching the first episode. Previous works include: Fullmetal Alchemist, Darker than Black, Eureka 7, Scrapped Princess, and Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door

MAKING A MEMORABLE BENCHMARK
The year 2008 marks the 10th anniversary of BONES. Generally, animation studios take their 10th anniversary releases very seriously, and use all the money they've earned on previous titles to pour into a single masterpiece. This past fall, Bonen no Xamdou was released worldwide via the Playstation Network and recorded the highest volume of downloaded media yet.

BONEN NO XAMDOU
Is much like the visual and character styles of Eureka 7, clashed with the nostalgia and feeling of the more classic Ghibli titles. The offspring surpasses both formers with flying colors, successfully merging the excellence of BONES animation with superb story-telling. The series carries multiple themes that are reinforced without, several words of wisdom, and a cast of characters not easily forgotten.

I will be blogging the progress of Bonen no Xamdou as it comes out weekly. Next week will be episode 22 of 26, so right in time for the climax of the series. Watch along if you haven't been!
